Museum
The Gabriadze Museum is the Foundation’s flagship project, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Rezo Gabriadze. More than a museum, it will be a living cultural space, showcasing his artistic universe—beyond marionettes to include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and mechanical installations.

Our mission is to:

- Promote Georgian art and culture through Gabriadze’s visionary perspective.
- Engage contemporary audiences with exhibitions, public programs, and global collaborations, bringing Gabriadze’s work to leading museums worldwide.
- Inspire future generations, fostering a deep appreciation for the arts.
- Establish the museum as a cultural landmark in Tbilisi, a must-visit destination for locals and international visitors alike.
Our Mission
Building process (1981)
The Gabriadze Museum will be a seamless extension of the Gabriadze Theatre, located across the 1st and 2nd floors of the same historic building. Designed as an immersive experience, the museum will allow visitors to explore Rezo Gabriadze’s creative world firsthand.

The 1st floor will feature the permanent exhibition, offering a deep dive into Gabriadze’s artistic process, major milestones, and creative evolution.
The 2nd floor will host rotating exhibitions, updated annually to explore different themes in Gabriadze’s work, incorporating multimedia elements for an interactive experience.
The inaugural exhibition will focus on childhood and its profound influence on Rezo Gabriadze’s artistic expression.
The building
The Gabriadze Museum is steadily moving forward, with significant milestones already achieved:

- Architectural and lighting concepts have been finalized to create an immersive exhibition space.
- Engineering plans are complete, ensuring a seamless integration within the historic theatre building.
- The space has been cleared and fully prepared for the final phase of construction.

With the groundwork done, the next steps will bring the museum to life, transforming it into a dynamic and inspiring cultural destination.
